Mountaineer Radio “The Mix” 93.1 FM KWLB has been coming in loud and clear over the air waves since 2015 and has been chosen to be Wilburton Main Street, Inc.’s November Business of the Month. Broadcasting from the Wilburton campus of Eastern Oklahoma State College, Mountaineer Radio serves not only Wilburton but many of the surrounding communities as well by offering the “Best Mix” of music programming appealing to most audiences and age groups. You can tune in to 93.1 on the FM dial to hear live music, sports, weather, public service and community announcements, live interviews, contests and giveaways and much more.

On air personalities include Afternoon Show Host, Doug “Dougo” Sims who is also Mountaineer Radio General Manager and Morning Show Host, Intern Coordinator and Sports Director, Derek “The Rowdy Ranger” Hatridge. Students in Eastern’s Mass Communication program are also involved with the radio station, serving as interns and on-air personalities helping set “The Mix” apart from many other local radio stations. Students produce news and weather reports, public service announcements and other programming. They also have the opportunity to select music, produce their own show, help with live remotes and provide play-by-play and color commentary during local sporting events. As of today, four former radio station interns are now working full-time in the radio industry.
