The Wilburton Backpack Nutrition Program has been providing weekend food bags to local students who may not have reliable access to meals at home for almost 15 years. Volunteers pack shelf‑stable food into discreet paper bags that are quietly placed into students’ backpacks each Friday, ensuring they have something to eat until they return to school on Monday.
